According to CoreLogic National Foreclosure Report, approximately .4% of Tennessee Mortgages are in foreclosure. In 2008, during the height of the crisis in Tennessee, 1.7% (average) of homes were in foreclosure. Shelby, Hamilton, and Davidson Counties were hardest hit by the crisis.
Many factors have played a roll in the nationwide recovery. Presently, only 3% of homes nationwide are in seriously delinquency and only 1.1% are actually in foreclosure. June 2016 is the 54th consecutive month with year over year decline in the foreclosure rate.
